Authentic Edo period original, c.1850, Japanese erotic art shunga woodblock print picture book by a member of the Utagawa School of artists.
 
Shunga picture book measures 15.6 cm x 22.3 cm closed.
 
Excellent colors and impressions!  Condition is very good with some light wear.  Two of the scenes show some oxidizing of the paints on the male figures, which is quite common for Edo Period woodblock print artwork.  Especially when an emphasis has been placed on making a purposeful distinction between the male and female's skin tone, which again, was common practice in the shunga genre.  All pictures shown here, 7 total picture pages in all.  Remaining pages are kanji text pages.  Please see and judge from photos.
