This lithograph is part of the authentic original, 1st edition series from 1972 of “Mishima Gō gashū Wakamono” (三島剛画集 若者), (Mishima Go Picture Book of Young Men), showcasing the artist's striking depictions of Japanese youth.  Mishima Go was a trailblazer during the Showa era, renowned for his evocative portrayals of the Japanese male figure.  His work captures the complex emotions of loneliness, melancholy, and strength, resonating deeply with themes of individuality and the minority experience at the advent of Japanese gay culture.
